Jurlique Wish List & Reader Discount

Winter is slowly approaching, (I do wish it would hurry up and arrive already, I’m sweltering!) and I’m starting to think about what products I want to be using in the colder months ahead. I will need help brightening my skin, keeping my body moisturised (I am thinking body oils and dry body brushing will help combat winter dryness) and something to help with skin sensitivity. Here are a few products from the Jurlique range that I am lusting after this winter:

Herbal Recovery Gel

A potent botanical concentrate, infused with a rich blend of herbs and precious plant oils to restore, firm, hydrate and revitalise the skin. Helps to minimise the visible signs of ageing with daily use.

Rose Body Oil

A moisturising body oil to nurture the skin and senses.

Nurturing Mask

A gentle purifying mask, rich in the living energy of groomwell and sichuan peppercorn to clarify, hydrate and soothe. Leaves delicate skin feeling soft, pure and revitalised. Ideal for rebalancing sensitivity.

You may or may not remember that I recently posted a review for the Jurlique Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator. If you are interested in trying this product out, now is the time! Jurlique have been kind enough to extend a discount code for the readers of The Belle Lumiere. Using the code SUPERFRUIT15 at the checkout will give you 15% off of the Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator. The videos were filmed backstage at NY Fashion Week and the easy to recreate looks were applied to women from NARS’ very own U.S. marketing team. The videos show the 3 key steps to achieving the look from Thakoon, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Marc Jacobs.

Now I don’t know about you guys but my NARS” wishlist just increased quite a bit. I already had the Aigle Soft Touch Shadow Pencil and Orgasm Illuminator on my shopping list, but now I’m thinking I might need a few of the multiples? The Luxor multiple looked so pretty after application in the third video! Ahh, lust. After Project 10 Pan, of course.

The time has come (the walrus said) for the final installment of the guest blog by Katerina Psathas from Adore Beauty. Be sure to check out the previous posts from Katerina regarding eyeshadow basics, blue eyes, brown eyes and green eyes!

Katerina’s Complete Eyeshadow Bible Pt 5

Grey Eyes: Amp up the sultriness of mysterious grey eyes with colours like…

– Grey
– Blue
– Black

Katerina’s choice for Grey Eyes:

Bloom Eye shadow in Platinum, Slate & Ash $25 (blends beautifully, and have a lovely depth)

And Benefit’s Smokin’ Eye Kit (listed below)

Katerina’s choice for all eye colours:

Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Kit ($59) Why? The perfect staple eye shadow colors for any girl’s makeup bag. The dark brown in matte so you can use it as a brow powder/liner and the lightest colour can be used as a shimmer on cheekbones. Complete with a Boi-ing concealer (a godsend) and honestly, the brushes included are terrific, especially the shadow blender.

Benefit Smokin’ Eyes Palette $68 Why? It literally contains everything you could possible need for a smoky eye look. Great colours, great quality in a cute little compact.

NOTE: Please don’t let this list restrict you from colours you want to try! Eye shadow is fun and I suggest you have a play around with a few different colours and looks…!

Project 10 Pan

Well, the time has come. I need to embark on the dreaded Project 10 Pan! I guess I shouldn’t look at it as the “dreaded” project because I’ll probably never accomplish it if I think like that… Basically I have a cupboard overflowing with products that I don’t feel like I’m getting enough use out of. I keep buying new things and not making the most of the things I already have. So I’ve decided to do a project 10 pan for haircare, skincare and a project 5 pan for makeup. I don’t really have THAT many body products to justify a project 10 or 5 pan, so I’m leaving that one out for now. If you haven’t heard of Project 10 Pan before, it’s basically where people who have too many products attempt to use up 10 things before purchasing anything new. My one exception for this rule will be if it’s something that I feel that I have to replace. Foundation (of which I only have 1), mascara, moisturiser and facial cleanser will need to be replaced if I run out of those before the 10 pan finishes. I’m pretty sure that with everything else I have a few back up products to use so I should be okay.

I will be keeping a tally in the sidebar for products I use up as I go. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join me on this… If you feel like you’re spending too much on skincare, makeup and haircare and want to use up a few things in your cupboard – feel free to jump on board!
