June Empties

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel – Yes, I have started buying the massive 500ml pump bottles of this product because I love it so much. It’s my holy grail cleanser and I will be using it until my skin starts to hate it, (which hasn’t happened yet, after a good 3 years or so of use) but here’s hoping it never does.

Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille Fragrance – This is my signature scent and I had a back up bottle ready to go as soon as I used up the last of this one. Un Bois Vanille is the most beautifully complex smoked vanilla scent that I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing and I adore it.

Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Finish Spray – To be honest I still wasn’t completely sold on this product at the start of June, but then I skipped a few days of using it and noticed that my makeup definitely didn’t last as long throughout the day. So apparently it does work after all.

L’Oreal Sublime Mousse Conditioner – I used up another two of these mini conditioners from my cupboard and I’ve whittled down my collection of old hair dye conditioners to two, soon to be none. Success!

Haus of Gloi Troika Soft Bubbling Scrub – This was the first body scrub that I’d ever tried from Haus of Gloi and I wasn’t disappointed. It smelled nice (sort of like sweet bitter almond) and the scrub did it’s job without aggravating my sensitive skin. Despite my general ‘meh’ attitude towards body scrubs in general I would consider repurchasing this in the future.

Haus of Gloi Milkmaid Whipped Soap – I loved this product, and reviewed it last week. I will definitely buy this again if the Milkmaid scent ever gets re-released.

Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara – I liked this product but didn’t love it as much as the regular Lancome Hypnose formula. For some reason this one seemed to transfer to my upper lid after applying it.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara – All I really want from mascara is something that thickens without clumping and adds a bit of length (but not too much) to my lashes without transferring or flaking. This did just that. I loved this mascara and will be buying it again at some stage.

LUSH Honey I Washed The Kids Soap – This soap came in a Lust Have It box months and months ago and I’d just kept it in my bathroom without using it because it smelled so nice. I’m glad I finally got around to using it though because it was quite nice. I’m not sure if I’d bother repurchasing it though, purely because there are so many different soap scents out there that I want to try.

Benefit The Porefessional – I really liked this primer and did notice a difference in the general look and feel of my skin when I used it. I would consider buying a full size of this in the future.

L’Occitane Ultra Rich Face Cream – This was nice but nothing special. The feel of the moisturiser reminded me a little bit of the Weleda Almond Facial Cream which I really like, but it was hard to gauge how much I liked this product after just one use.

Pantene Daily Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner – These were nice and I do like Pantene hair care in general. Nothing outstanding though, and nothing that would make me rush out to buy a full sized version of either.

Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Lotion – I loved this moisturiser and I plan on purchasing a full tube of it once Spring/Summer comes around again.

Basic Earth Botanicals Revive Body Wash – I think I might have stolen this from a hotel bathroom (I can’t remember which one), but I shouldn’t have bothered because it smelled gross.

Sasy N Savy Rose Lavender Hand N Nail Repair Creme – This smelled wonderful, like a soft turkish delight rose scent rather than anything too overpoweringly floral. The name n stuff still bothers me and the size of the sample was too small to get anything more than one use out of.

CK Shock Eau De Toilette – I really like the scent of this perfume but CK perfumes last for around 5 minutes on my skin before becoming a distant memory. For that reason I wouldn’t bother purchasing a full size of this.

Bioderma Créaline H2O – So nice but so expensive. I liked it but am not sure I’ll buy a full size. Watch this space.

Kérastase Nectar Thermique – I used this after trying the sample of the Ciment Thermique and found it to be a lot more moisturising on my hair. Both products are absolutely incredible though, and I plan to buy a full sized bottle of this soon.

Kérastase Ciment Thermique – I was surprised at how long this sample managed to last me, and I loved the product so was really happy to have it sitting around for so long. I used it prior to blow drying my hair and it helped to prevent fly aways and really left my hair looking silky and soft.
