Thoughts of the week…

01) This time next week I will be in Adelaide, embarking on my two week road trip journey!

02) What did we think of the much hyped Seinfeld reunion? I expected a bit more, to be honest.

03) I’m kind of glad that I held off on buying the Naked 3 Palette, because I’ve read quite a few reviews saying that the eyeshadows tend to make people look like they have bruised eyes. Not really the look I’m going for.

04) The Daryl Dixon Show is back next week!

05) I’m currently obsessed with Pandora. My favourite playlist so far has been Civil Wars radio. Folksy heaven. A close runner up may or may not be 90s Pop. Heh.

06) True to form when I get obsessed with a new youtuber, I am instantly inspired by their recommendations and must have them IMMEDIATELY. In this case, it’s EssieButton and The Balm’s Frat Boy blush and Mary-Lou Manizer. I am now madly in love with both.

07) Natalie from The Mustard Jumper got me cravin’ these boots real bad.

08) Kimberley posted part one of her health and fitness videos this week. Go and watch! She talks about our brainchild the GSC towards the end.

09) Speaking of Kimberley, I signed up for Audible this week and it’s entirely her fault. Not to sound like an advertisement, but if you do listen to audiobooks, Audible’s membership works out to be a pretty good deal. For $14.95 a month, you’re given one free download (regardless of price). You also get one month free, which means a free download when you initially sign up.

10) I was saddened to hear the news of Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s passing earlier in the week. What a sudden, shocking, and horrible loss.

Valentine’s Day with Boxt

Valentine’s Day really seems to polarize people, most people I know either seem to love it or hate it. I’ve never been a particularly romantic person, so Valentine’s Day has never really appealed to my sensitivities. Having said that, I’ve started to look beyond the cheesiness of the day and have started to appreciate the meaning behind receiving a sweet gift from someone special. Perhaps I am getting soft in my old age. Perhaps I just like getting gifts. Who knows? If you’re in the market for a Valentine’s Day gift for me your significant other, here are some less-traditional (read: non-floral) from the Western Australian Online Gift Company Boxt

Wet Your Whistle Gift Hamper Lush MOR Gift Hamper Veuve Gold Toast

Moet Flower Gift Box Hennessey Love Gift Box Nibbly Love Gift Pack

Boxt have a delivery guarantee and will get these goodies to your loved one on time, so if you happen to meet and fall deeply in love with someone in the next week or so, don’t fret about having to think of a thoughtful gift that you can have delivered to their door. As an additional this-is-a-great-company bonus, Boxt use 100% recycled gift boxes, and donate their reusable materials to Remida. What are you waiting for? Order me a gift today!

Thoughts of the week…

01) I randomly clicked on a news article during the week to read about Margot Robbie changing her hair from blonde to brunette, only to discover that it’s for a role in the film rendition of ‘Z for Zachariah‘, aka the first post-apocalyptic book I ever read! I’m excited.

02) Speaking of Margot Robbie, she was great in The Wolf of Wall Street. Which was a fantastic movie, if you’re in two minds about whether to go and see it I highly recommend checking it out. Will anyone be watching the 4-hour extended cut?

03) Did we all know that Michael Bay is rebooting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies? What is this madness. My favourite thing to come of this news is the realisation that they’ve apparently got Alex Perry on board to play Raphael.

04) Guess who has a cat? Well, technically it’s my boyfriend’s cat, but she’ll be living with us from now on. So far, I think she hates me.

05) I’m obsessed with researching IKEA furniture hacks. Help me.

06) Paolo Nutini released a sneak peek of his new album, with the first single ‘Scream‘. I’m already hooked on this song. I can’t wait for the full album!

07) Has anyone tried Fitness Blender? I’m curious, and free online-based workouts are always a good thing! I think I might try the kickboxing workout tomorrow.

08) I saw the preview for this movie when I went to see The Wolf Of Wall Street last weekend, and it looks right up my alley.

09) I’ve been obsessed with eating making a Lemon Drizzle Cake ever since my friend Hayley mentioned it on Twitter. I’m now on the hunt for the perfect sounding recipe, and I’ll try and bake it next weekend. Mmm, lemon drizzle cake.

10) Speaking of food, I have an unhealthy addiction to Ingrid’s egg sandwich.
