August Empties

AB Retexturizing Face Primer (would repurchase) – This was honestly one of the best primers I’ve ever used. It didn’t break me out, it evened out my complexion, and it really did seem to make my makeup last longer on my face throughout the day and night. I would have repurchased this in a heartbeat if it was more readily available.

Givenchy Photo Perfexion Foundation in Perfect Ivory (repurchased) – This is my holy grail foundation and I go through a bottle every couple of months because I use it in my daily makeup regime. I can’t really see myself straying from this anytime soon, so you’ll be sure to see more of these popping up in empties posts in the future.

Jurlique Chamomile Soothing Mist (would repurchase) – I think I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this product, as the scent reminds me of the first few months my partner and I spent together. As for how it worked as a facial mist, it was lovely. I will no doubt be repurchasing this, and considering that I’m now completely out of face mists it could be sooner rather than later.

Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Conditioner in Rose (repurchased) – These tinted lip conditioners are up there with my favourite lip products of all time, so it’s not too surprising that I finished up a whole tube of my favourite shade. If you’re placing a Sephora order in the near future, be sure to pick a couple of these bad boys up.

MOR Marshmallow Body Butter – I was flat-out obsessed with the marshmallow scent range from MOR a few years ago and although I still think it’s nice enough, it’s just a touch too sweet for my taste now that I’m a little bit older. I won’t be repurchasing this, but it was nice to finish it up.

Evo Normal Persons Conditioner (would repurchase) – I’m not sure how I managed to finish this up waaaay before the shampoo, but I think my partner may have been borrowing it from time to time. I will definitely be picking this up again in the future. I loved this shampoo/conditioner duo.

Nivea Fragrance Free Facial Cleansing Wipes (repurchased) – Yes, again. You know the drill.

July Empties

Paula’s Choice Hydralight One-Step Face Cleanser (repurchased) – I honestly can’t believe I managed to finish a JUMBO sized bottle of this cleanser. That’s pretty impressive, if I do say so myself. This is the only cleanser I’ve come across in the past couple of years that hasn’t aggravated my skin and somehow manages to keep my breakouts at bay. I use it exclusively (and daily), and have done so for quite a while now. I’m currently working my way through yet another jumbo sized bottle, and will no doubt repurchase this bad boy once I’ve finished that up.

Nivea Fragrance Free Facial Cleansing Wipes (repurchased) – Surprise surprise. Yet another packet of the Nivea fragrance-free face wipes. Sick of seeing these in my empties posts? Yeah, me too. Moving on.

Maybelline Instant Age-Rewind Concealer (repurchased) – I go through one of these tubes roughly once a month. I use this concealer as part of my daily makeup look, and have done so for well over a year now. If you’re not looking for a lot of coverage and prefer a more lightweight concealer, this could be a product to keep an eye out for next time you’re at Priceline.

Haus of Gloi ‘Ghost Puffs’ Soft Bubbling Scrub (would repurchase) – I’ve tried the body lotion in this scent range from Haus of Gloi before, and it remains one of my all time favourites. I went through this little pot quite quickly (I think my boyfriend might have given me a helping hand – he loves the scent too), and I’m kicking myself for only getting the small sized pot when the Halloween scents were released last year. Luckily, it’s nearly Halloween again! Fingers crossed that the Ghost Puffs range makes a reappearance sometime soon.

(sample) Herban Essentials Lavender Towelette – I received this as a sample from MiniBarCo, last month and used it on my mini holiday down south. This was STRONGLY fragranced, which was somewhat overwhelming to begin with, but eventually faded and left the car (I used it to clean my hands before a small twisties binge on the drive home) smelling lovely. I’m keen to try the Lemon Towelettes from this range, because I think the scent might be more up my alley.

June Empties

Nivea Fragrance Free Facial Wipes (repurchased) – Are you sick of seeing these popping up in my empties post? Obviously I’m not, because here is yet another finished packet of my all time favourite face wipes. As per usual, I use these to remove my makeup before working out, and also on nights when I can’t be bothered with a full blown cleansing routine.

Paula’s Choice Hydralight Moisture-Infusing Lotion (repurchased) – This is another favourite of mine, and as soon as I finished up this tube I opened a brand new one. It’s been my go-to facial moisturiser since I first started using Paula’s Choice products last year. I can’t see myself trying any new moisturisers anytime soon, this is just that good.

Skindanavia No-More-Shine Makeup Setting Spray (repurchased) – Oh look, another favourite that I used up and repurchased immediately. I use this spray every morning once I’ve finished applying my makeup, and although I’m not 100% sure the effect it has on keeping my makeup in place, I do like the fact that it takes the ‘dusty’ look away from my makeup, and makes everything look much more natural and fresh.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Fair (repurchased) – Yes, another favourite. I think I’ve gone through about 20 tubes of this concealer, and I still really enjoy using it. The biggest down side to the product is how MESSY the packaging gets. Still, the colour is a great match for me and I really like how light the concealer is, so I keep going back despite how grubby everything ends up in my makeup bag.

Lanolips in Rhubarb (would repurchase) – This was my favourite lip product for the longest time. Truth be told I actually finished this up quite a while ago, but for some reason it’s been sitting in my empties box ever since. I would like to repurchase this, but I can never find the rhubarb shade when I manage to find the lanolips section at Priceline, which is just as well hidden.

(sample) Phyto Express Conditioner for Fine Hair – This sample came in one of my last Sephora orders, and it was nice enough. I find it hard to form a strong opinion on products using one of these one-use sample packets.

May Empties

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner (would repurchase) – I tried this duo a couple of years ago and really liked it, so I decided to purchase these jumbo sized bottles from Chemist Warehouse when they were on sale. I still really like the duo, but one thing I will note is that the strong fragrance can be quite overwhelming after a while.

Jeanne En Provence Lavande Soap – I was sent this to try out, and it was a nice enough soap but nothing I’d repurchase.

Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Toner (repurchased) – I alternate between this and the Paula’s Choice Hydralight Toner, depending on what I have sitting in my cupboard at the time. I really like both, but I think my skin prefers this out of the two.

Lancome Hypnose Mascara (repurchased) – This is my holy grail mascara, an all time favourite. I rarely stray from this, and I had two tubes kicking around in my makeup stash for quite a while. Surprisingly neither of these had dried out or gone bad, but they’d been open for so long that it was definitely time for me to toss them out.

(samples) Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Mask (repurchased) – Now that my skin is pretty decent most of the time (the last time I had a breakout it was due to a silicone-heavy primer), I tend to lean towards hydrating facial masks over ‘treatment’ style ones. I ordered a few of these sample sachets a little while ago because I feel like I never go through a full sized face mask, and it made sense to get smaller versions that I can completely use up every now and then.

April Empties

Nivea Fragrance Free Facial Wipes (repurchased) – These wipes are a standard item in my monthly empties, and my love affair with them continues. I seem to be going through slightly more than usual lately, and I think it’s because I keep an extra packet of them in my gym bag to quickly remove my makeup before working out.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer (in Fair) (repurchased) – This is probably the 20th tube of this concealer that I’ve gone through since first discovering it. I use it every day to help cover the dark circles under my eyes, and some of the redness around my nose and chin. The packaging is a PITA and gets really messy really quickly, so if you’re an ultimate clean freak you probably aren’t going to like it.

Givenchy Photo Perfexion Foundation (in Perfect Ivory) (repurchased) – I am super paranoid that Sephora will never let me order from them again, and want to conserve my supplies of this foundation but as it’s the only one that I use, I’m not doing very well. This is my holy-grail foundation, and I go through a bottle roughly every 2 months or so.

Moroccanoil (repurchased) – I hadn’t used Moroccanoil in a looooong time, but I purchased one of the travel kits from Adore Beauty with the intention of using the shampoo and conditioner, and it came with two small bottles of the oil. I know a lot of people don’t like Moroccanoil due to some “nasty” ingredients, but I still like it. I use this exclusively on the frazzled ends of my hair because I find it too heavy for the roots/top of my head.

Haus of Gloi Sweet Pumpkin Treat Whipped Soap (would repurchase) – This was one of the best smelling body products I’ve ever used. My boyfriend went crazy over the scent of this, and even sneakily used it a few times in the shower himself. I love the texture of the Haus of Gloi Whipped soaps, and I really hope this scent is released again in the future.

Burt’s Bees Milk & Honey Body Lotion (would repurchase) – My favourite body lotions are nearly always a light to medium weight and tend to have a sweet milky scent. It’s no surprise really that I enjoyed this lotion from Burt’s Bees because it is all of those things. I really love the Burt’s Bees body products, and I’m keen to try more from the range soon.

March Empties

Paula’s Choice Hydralight Healthy Skin Refreshing Toner (repurchased) – I slightly prefer the Pore-Refining Toner from Paula’s Choice to this one, but it’s still a lovely toner and feels very gentle on my sensitive skin. I alternate between the two toners to keep my skin on it’s toes.

Batiste Dry Shampoo (Tropical) (repurchased) – I recently rediscovered my love for dry shampoo, which came alongside the knowledge that I have been using dry shampoo WRONG all this time. As it turns out, leaving the shampoo to sit in your hair for 5-10 minutes before rubbing it in makes all the difference. Who knew? everyone Anyway, now that I know this, I love dry shampoo. I even use it on clean hair because I’m cool like that.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (repurchased) – I repeatedly go through bottles of this, as I use it as a body cleanser when I’m in the shower. This smaller bottle was the one I took with me on my road trip earlier in the year, and finished off this month. I usually purchase the pump top bottles for convenient use in the shower.

Paula’s Choice Hydralight Moisture-Infusing Moisturiser (repurchased) – I love this moisturiser, and I’ve gone through about 5 of these tubes since beginning my love affair with the Paula’s Choice range. This is my go-to daily moisturiser, but I also wear it at night. It’s lightweight (pro), sinks into the skin quickly (pro), and smells like death (con).

Hugo Naturals Soap – This was a gift from my grandmother, who visted the US late last year. I enjoyed using it, but I don’t think we have access to this brand in Australia, so I’m not able to repurchase it.

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara (would repurchase) – I really liked this mascara (see my review here), and I would definitely consider purchasing it again in the future. I have a few different mascaras to finish up first, but I’ll be getting my dirty little mits on another tube of this soon.

Benefit Lipgloss in ‘What Shade Is That?’ – I’m at that stage where I am really over glittery makeup. Even lip gloss. I enjoyed using this, but I opened it up to wear it last weekend and the scent had turned from Skittles to something far more rancid and ominous. I won’t be repurchasing this, as me and glitter are THROUGH.

Kerastase Nectar Thermique (repurchased) – I use this on my hair every day. I love it. If I don’t use it before blow drying my hair in the morning, my hair looks like c-r-a-p. Enough said?
