September Goals

First of all, lets see how I did in August

– Set up my new personal agenda
– Clean out the main hutch in the living room
– Finish organising my makeup collection

– Sort out my health insurance coverage
– Write a general plan for cleaning out the walk in wardrobe

Not a bad effort all up, and I finally managed to finish cleaning out my makeup collection, which had been a ‘work in progress’ for a few months now. I still haven’t sorted out my health insurance upgrade, but that’s mostly because I need to call them during working hours and I never get around to doing it. I’ll add it to the list again this month, and we’ll see how we go! Here is what I’m hoping to achieve in September:

– Organize a present for my BFF’s 30th birthday
– Sort out/upgrade my health insurance coverage
– Go to the Perth Royal Show
– Catch up on the 50 Book Challenge
– Start cleaning out the walk in wardrobe
– Get my health issues under control

I am 5(!) books behind in the 50 Book Challenge, so I’m making that a priority this month. How is everyone else doing with their goals? Has anyone finally managed to cross something off of their list after a few months of avoidance?

August Goals

First up, lets see how I did with July’s goals

Finish planning our short holiday in July/organize Sebastian’s birthday present
Organize three birthday dinners for Sebastian’s birthday
Do my tax return
– Sort out my personal health insurance coverage
Have my car serviced (and get the brakes replaced)
– Clean out my makeup collection

Not bad all up, but once again, I didn’t get around to finishing the clean out of my makeup collection because for some reason I just can’t get motivated to do it. I might need to watch some makeup organization videos on youtube to get the inspiration flowing (any and all video or channel suggestions are welcome!). I have some big projects to tackle soon, and I’m planning on taking them one step at a time. Most of them are to do with the house, so it might be time for another house update… Stay tuned for that, but for now here are my goals for August:

– Set up my new personal agenda
– Clean out the main hutch in the living room
– Finish organising my makeup collection
– Sort out by health insurance coverage
– Write a general plan for cleaning out the walk in wardrobe

What are your goals for this month? I’d love to hear how everyone is going with their goal planning, now that we’re over half way through the year. Is your success rate getting better or worse as the year progresses?

July Fitness Chat

This post is somewhat laughable, as June and July were both complete write-offs in regards to fitness. If anything, I’ve probably regressed more than I’ve made any sort of progress this month. I can blame most of that on me only just now getting over a kidney infection (which is a pretty legit excuse in my eyes), and I also had a headcold last month that knocked me for six. Looking beyond that, it’s onwards and upwards for the rest of the year.

Monthly Goals
Sebastian and I are heading away this weekend, for a little getaway to celebrate his birthday. After that, it’s game on on the fitness front. We’ve both agreed to check out the local gym, who offer a free day pass for people to come in and look at/try the facilities available. On top of that, my main goal is to just get some gold stars happening on my calendar again. I’ll be starting slow, but I’ll have some bigger goals for when the weather clears up a bit in a month or so.

July Goals

Hello! First of all, lets see how I did with last month’s goals

– Clean out my makeup collection
Get my licence photo taken and renew my drivers’ licence
– Finish planning our short holiday in July/organize my boyfriend’s birthday present
– Add a few more potted plants to our garden
Start the process to have any issues with the house fixed under the 6 month warranty
– Pick paint colours for the interior of the house

Getting sick really takes a toll on your motivation, doesn’t it? I came down with a bad head cold during June which sapped a lot of my energy. I’m blaming this for the fact that my ‘goal results’ for the month aren’t as good as they could have been. Hopefully July will be a little bit better, and I can achieve a few more of my goals.

– Finish planning our short holiday in July/organize Sebastian’s birthday present
– Organize three birthday dinners for Sebastian’s birthday
– Do my tax return
– Sort out my personal health insurance coverage
– Have my car serviced (and get the brakes replaced)
– Clean out my makeup collection

How is everyone else going with their monthly goals? Is there something you’ve been putting off doing for ages, that you managed to accomplish once you added it to your list of goals for the month? I’d love to how this format is working for you, it’s certainly motivating me to work on things that otherwise might fall by the wayside.

June Goals

Hi there! First things first, lets see how I went with last month’s goals

Continue to add potted plants to our garden
– Maintain my exercise schedule after returning from Bali
Start pre-emptive plans for a short holiday in July
– Deep clean the refrigerator
Take unwanted books to the book exchange
Help a dear friend plan her baby shower

All up it wasn’t too bad of a month, as far as goals are concerned. I’d been meaning to take some books to the book exchange for ages, so setting it as a personal goal made it something I simply HAD to do. So that’s one thing off of a very old to-do list that I can now cross off. Now for some goals for June –

– Clean out my makeup collection
– Get my licence photo taken and renew my drivers’ licence
– Finish planning our short holiday in July/organize my boyfriend’s birthday present
– Add a few more potted plants to our garden
– Start the process to have any issues with the house fixed under the 6 month warranty
– Pick paint colours for the interior of the house

What are your goals for the month of June? Please share, because I’d love to hear them!

May Goals

I saw Em For Marvelous posting about her monthly goals, and decided that I wanted to get on board. I set a lot of goals for myself, and am a to-do list FIEND, but I rarely share them with you all. I recently made a decision to start posting more of what I would like to read, rather than what I feel like I should be writing about. So, without further ado –

my May Goals
– Continue to add potted plants to our garden
– Maintain my exercise schedule after returning from Bali
– Start pre-emptive plans for a short holiday in July
– Deep clean the refridgerator
– Take unwanted books to the book exchange
– Help a dear friend plan her baby shower

I feel like this is a fairly achievable list. I’d love to hear some of your goals for May!
